In the heart of Sydney’s busy Chinatown, Market City has a mix of transient and regular shoppers. During the peak Easter trading period, they wanted to reward both audiences as they visited the centre.
We proposed Shopping Centre Activation, gamifying the shopping experience and giving their audience a chance to win a share of $25,000.
Creating an interactive customer rewards system, shoppers received a unique code when they spent any amount within the centre, and were directed to the in-centre display. At the display, shoppers entered their code into the iPads for the chance to win a share of $25,000 or other on-the-spot retailer prizes. Winners received their prize instantly from a printer built into the display unit.
The shopping centre activation had a total of 4,636 major prize entrants, and 10,657 unique codes entered.
